Dear Reader,
The summer season is approaching fast, a time to enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Before the recreational feeling completely settles in, we are delivering to you another issue of our magazine. In June/July edition of IEN Europe you will find a special focus on Industrial Networking. In this section, you can read about safety solutions for the fieldbus system. Moreover, there are nine Technology in Action articles which link to more extensive stories on our website.
And, as always, be sure to catch up on product and industry news.
Happy holidays!

2007 Sensor+Test: 15 % more visitors
The good general economic development in Germany and Europe also has a positive effect on sensor, measuring and testing technology. The mood at Sensor+Test, the most important exhibition for this industry in Europe , was accordingly good. Over the three days from 22-24 May, the exhibitors welcomed over 8,600 visitors to their stands, 15% more than the previous year. The supporting programme with conferences, forums and the Action Area was also very well attended. The 610 exhibitors at Sensor+Test presented new products and innovations on a display area of almost 23,000 m². The spectrum ranged from the smallest sensors using microsystem technology to complete test rigs, such as are used in the automotive industry. The next SENSOR+TEST takes place again in Nurnberg from 6-8 May 2008.
