Philips technology achieves breakthrough in linear motors
Researchers at Philips Applied Technologies have developed a highly innovative technique that allows standard linear motors to simultaneously provide movement along two axes rather than along a single axis. In equipment such as the pick-and-place machines used to assemble electronic printed circuit boards, Philips' patented NForcer Technology will allow designers to reduce the number of motors and electronic drive modules required as well as simplifying overall mechanical design. This will result in significantly lower equipment cost. By reducing the mass of moving parts, it will also allow designers to produce designs that achieve higher accelerations and operating speeds.

Waterproof Motors

The asynchronous three-phase series of waterproof motors are constructed with a special resin material which seals the motor, maintaining the internal electrical parts completely waterproof, even in presence of chemical substances, like detergents. The waterproof motors, ranging from 0,37 to 15 kW and from size 71 to 132, represent a good solution to high degree of rain and humidity situations. The tropicalization and painting of the rotor shields it from the risk of oxide formation. Nuova Fima is introducing a completely new multifunctional product called Digital Pressure Gauge .
The new Digital Pressure Gauge can be mounted directly on the process since the case is in stainless steel and completely proof and can be easily combined to the different diaphragm seals. This very new product is able not only to show the pressure level in the requested unit and to be connected directly to a PLC through analogical outputs but it is also provided of alarm thresholds. All these features are run by the instruments itself through a diaphragm keyboard and a multilingual menu.
