Connecting Buyers and
Suppliers on a Global Scale
“Sourcing globally, manufacturing regionally, selling locally”
… what was a prediction in the early days of the worldwide
web is today a reality for high-level industrial executives
with specifying and sourcing responsibilities in the
world’s most important manufacturing and assembling
locations. Today’s competitive global market requires
that these executives – no matter where they are – learn,
as quickly as possible, about new industrial products
available to them from anywhere in the world. This is especially
true for subscribers and readers of the IEN Worldwide
Network of leading industrial product news tabloids,
executives such as you.
Recognizing these significant trends, the editors of Industrial
Engineering News Europe, Industrial Engineering News
Italy, Technische Revue Germany, Produits Equipements
Industriels France, Industrial Equipment News USA, Industrial
Equipment News Japan, Noticiario de Equipos Industriales
Spanish Latin America, and Noticiario de Equipamentos
Industriais Brazil have joined forces to bring you
this special section, presenting new product introductions
to meet your increasingly global sourcing and information
needs.
Our editors contacted nearly 500 companies on four
continents to bring you the latest Instruments & Control
products in this premier effort being published simultaneously
in all IEN Worldwide publications.
We hope this new service will help you be more competitive
in an increasingly global market, where the boundaries
between local and international business are diminishing.
* For more information about products in this section please
use IEN Europe’s fast and easy SLI reader service: send your
request and within seconds you will receive an e-mail with

Linear Transducers
with pulse-width modulation
Penny + Giles has developed a pulsewidth
modulation option for its ICT range
of contactless in-cylinder linear transducers.
The range, launched last year,
was designed for hostile conditions inside
mobile and static hydro-pneumatic actuators.
The new option provides further assurance, as the
digital signal of the PWM is more robust and less vulnerable
to noise than analogue voltage signals. The PWM
option produces a TTL-level compatible signal which has
a duty cycle proportional to transducer displacement.
